1. Warm Up with Stretches

One of the common mistakes people make is to start too fast. Especially if you are not young and limber and any more. It’s important to take your time getting started with your exercise. To do this, simply warm up with some stretches and walking.


2. Be Fed & Hydrated

Our pain doctor Houston recommends that you start off your exercise fed and hydrated. With nutrients and water in your system, your body will be both stronger and ready to take on the work of exercise. You don’t need to go overboard, though. Some water and an energy bar are usually enough for an exercise.


3. Start Slowly

Once you finally get started with your workout, it’s important to test the waters first so to speak. Start off slowly and work your way up to full speed. Trying to do too much too fast can result in an injury that will require professional assistance.


4. Work Hard but Don’t Overdo it

In any workout, the idea is clearly to work hard enough so that your body takes a bit of a beating. You do need to work up a sweat. However, you don’t need to press yourself so much that you end up hurting yourself. Work hard, but not too hard or you might injure yourself.


5. Wear the Proper Attire

Wearing proper workout gear can go a long way towards ensuring that you have a successful workout. If you are going running, be sure to wear shoes with lots of support and cushion. Whatever your desired exercise routine is, make sure that you wear attire that is properly-suited for the job.
